Set within the peaceful Tedsmore Estate near West Felton, on the Shropshire-North Wales border, our beautifully furnished cottages give wedding parties and guests the opportunity to stay together while retaining their own bedrooms, bathrooms and privacy.

Our three and four bedroom cottages sleep up to six or eight guests, making them ideal for families, groups of friends and members of the wedding party.

Beautifully converted from former racing stables within the historic Tedsmore Estate, the cottages combine distinctive character with spacious contemporary accommodation.

Our cottages provide plenty of room for wedding preparations

Spacious bedrooms, living areas and multiple bathrooms give everyone room for hair and make-up, getting dressed and helping one another prepare – without the space restrictions of separate hotel rooms.

Fully equipped kitchens also make it easy to prepare breakfast, drinks and refreshments before leaving for the ceremony.

Guests can relax in their cottage, enjoy walks around the estate and gardens, enjoy the indoor games room or make use of the outdoor picnic areas. We even have a children’s playground where younger members of your party can burn off some of that extra energy!

Selected cottages also offer private gardens, barbecue areas and hot tubs, making the stay feel even more special.

Extend your stay

Guests don’t have to arrive immediately before the wedding and leave first thing the following morning.
Tedsmore provides an excellent base for a longer visit, allowing family and friends to explore Oswestry, Shropshire, North Wales and the wider Welsh Borders before or after the celebrations.

Some wonderful National Trust properties and heritage attractions are within easy reach, including Chirk Castle, Erddig, Powis Castle, Llangollen and Pontcysyllte Aqueduct. There are also mountain biking and hiking trails nearby for more adventurous guests.

The meres around Ellesmere – sometimes described as Shropshire’s own lake district – are close by, while historic Chester is within easy driving distance. Wrexham, home of world-famous Wrexham Football Club, is around 25 minutes away.

Subject to availability, several cottages can be booked together, allowing larger wedding parties to stay close to one another while still enjoying their own space and privacy

    Tedsmore Cottages are gorgeous stable conversions on the Tedsmore estate. We loved the quality finish and the peaceful surroundings. It was a lovely base for going off to explore Snowdonia and other local areas.

    We had the most wonderful stay at Tedsmore Cottages over the bank holiday weekend, celebrating dad’s 80th birthday with three generations of family – and it couldn’t have been more perfect. The accommodation is absolutely exceptional. Every detail has been thoughtfully considered, from the luxurious finish throughout to the fact that every room is ensuite, which made such a difference for a large family group.

    I booked this amazing cottage for me and my family a mini getaway break. We all wish we could have stay for 2 months here the house is new, has everything, 3 toilets 4 rooms. The kitchen is massive, around the house is beautiful and so peaceful, there’s walking trails, game room with a pool table, table tennis, football table, air hockey and a enormes indoor area to play football, great for the kids. Because it’s pumpkins season they were giving away pumpkins, such a lovely gesture!

    What a great place to stay and the cottage its self was amazing the beds so comfy everywhere was clean and the kitchen was equipped with everything you could possibly need, the beds were very comfy with quality linen and we slept really well. The grounds are beautiful with stunning views and wildlife, all the staff we spoke to over the weekend were friendly and helpful. we really had a lovely weekend and will be back again. Highly recommended.
